#CRYING WITH LAUGHTER

Just spent the last hour cleaning the house, whilst trying not to use my out-of-service index finger (cut it a couple of days ago chopping onions) in preparation for visiting relatives.

Now my hands smell of bathroom cleaner.

Why just me, you ask? Well, my Dad’s busy sorting out his playhouse thing (aka “workshop”), Mum’s off gallivanting in Wales on some netball thing and my sister chose to spend the day at the Manchester Museum of Science & Industry. She got back, saw me vacuuming and polishing and was all “Oh, I was going to do that…”

WELL IT’S A BIT FUCKING LATE NOW.

I’m totally looking forward to only having to clean a tiny flat and not a fucking great house.

10 O'clock Live: this week's review

Completely entertained by:

  • Brooker’s inability to let the little finger of his right hand touch the desk (I might screen cap this tomorrow)
  • Mitchell’s hair.
  • Carr in a blonde wig and lipstick

Absolutely not entertained by:

  • Lauren Laverne.

Seriously. Can she please fuck off, so they can get someone more worthy and entertaining? It’s like you can almost hear her screaming “LOOK AT HOW WELL I’M DOING BEING ALL FUNNY! LOVE ME!”

Just piss off already. Get Addison or Millican in instead. Please?

It's a go!

My details have been processed, my credit checks have been checked and now I AM MOVING OUT!!! Going to meet with the estate agent on the 4th March to pay the rent and pick up the keys, then I will be moving into my new apartment over the weekend.

Whilst I’m moving in, I think we’re going to pop down to the Hope Direct Charity shop and see if I can find some shelves and/or cabinets to use for DVD and book storage. If I don’t find anything, my poor books and DVDs will end up on the floor in some gigantic pile of sorts…

Really want to do a massive jig and shout and yell with joy, but I’m at work and they think I’m weird enough as it is…

I AM EXCITE!

“A three-day-old human embryo is a collection of 150 cells called a blastocyst. There are, for the sake of comparison, more than 100,000 cells in the brain of a fly. If our concern is about suffering in this universe, it is rather obvious that we should be more concerned about killing flies than about killing three-day-old human embryos… Many people will argue that the difference between a fly and a three-day-old human embryo is that a three-day-old human embryo is a potential human being. Every cell in your body, given the right manipulations, every cell with a nucleus is now a potential human being. Every time you scratch your nose, you’ve committed a holocaust of potential human beings… Let’s say we grant it that every three-day-old human embryo has a soul worthy of our moral concern. First of all, embryos at this stage can split into identical twins. Is this a case of one soul splitting into two souls? Embryos at this stage can fuse into a chimera. What has happened to the extra human soul in such a case? This is intellectually indefensible, but it’s morally indefensible given that these notions really are prolonging scarcely endurable misery of tens of millions of human beings, and because of the respect we accord religious faith, we can’t have this dialogue in the way that we should. I submit to you that if you think the interests of a three-day-old blastocyst trump the interests of a little girl with spinal cord injuries or a person with full-body burns, your moral intuitions have been obscured by religious metaphysics.” —

Adam & Joe Xfm Podcast - 15 Adam & Joe

One of my favourite Adam & Joe clips. I was trying to explain the hilarity of this clip to someone the other day (I can’t remember who), and I felt I had to hear it again.

I just need other people to understand why I’m saying “s’all kool”, OK?
