When I was on the ferry back to Dover, I went to the bureau de change, and there was an attractive man called Jonathan who served me. He said that they only change whole Euro coins, and I said “oh, so you wouldn’t change two 50 cent coins then?”, to which he replied “only if you smiled nicely”, and I responded by grinning like an idiot for the next 2 hours…

Quick summary of my trip to France:
Pete forgot his passport, so it was just Phil and me on the car journey down (thank fuck) It took 18 hours to get to Alsace. We drove through 5 countries; England, France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany.
